As the Volunteer Coordinator I am serving to recruit new volunteers for MHAGC's programs and providing direct support for existing volunteers. I participate in outreach events to meet new volunteers and maintain contact with potential volunteers throughout the recruiting, interview, and training process. Once they are trained and involved in our programs, I remain a system of support for volunteers old and new.

During my semester abroad I tutored an 11 year-old Spanish boy in English. I would organize weekly lessons and play games that would help improve his language skills.

As Director of the Climbing Department, it was my responsibility to make sure that all equipment met safety regulations and that the climbing course was being run in a safe environment. I also continued to encourage leadership and communication skills while running team building initiatives.

I gave advice to other counselors to see if we could solve the problem together before involving the camp directors. I helped plan the week of pre-camp as well as organize staff-wide meetings.

I was living with female campers ages 11 (2015) and 13 (2013-2014) while providing them with care and support for the 7 weeks they were at camp.

I was teaching leadership and communication to girls ages 8 to 15 while facilitating team building initiatives and creating a safe environment on the climbing course.
