Having explored the edges of the human condition, both within and without, I have figured out not only how to unleash the limitlessness of the human potential in leaders and teams, but to do it with more play and fun.I have overcome:- PTSD from fighting in Iraq as a Marine, where one of my jobs was to walk in front of vehicles to find IED's.- A lifestyle of drug addiction that killed 2 of my friends in high school.- Depression and alcoholism that drove me to the brink of suicide after the war.I have since:- Run 167 miles across post-war Liberia to build a school, and despite 4 biological defects including a blood disorder that 2 doctors said would kill me in boot camp, I have run many ultramarathons, including a 24 hour run and a 50 miler around a cul-de-sac.- Spent 10 days in darkness and isolation.- Based on my life experience and years of research in science and spirituality, I wrote the book Fearvana, about which the Dalai Lama said “Fearvana inspires us to look beyond our own agonizing experiences and find the positive side of our lives.” - Explored the most hostile environments on the planet, from mountains to underwater caves to polar icecaps.- Volunteered in leper colonies, worked with survivors of sex trafficking, taught Fearvana to former child soldiers, and conducted humanitarian work in post-conflict zones.- Built a global business.I am currently training for a never-before-accomplished, solo, 110 day, 1700 mile crossing of Antarctica.Combining my hard-fought life experiences with decades of research in neuroscience, psychology and spirituality, I will bring the most advanced methods of mastery, high performance and well being to your organization.My and my work have been featured on CNN, Forbes, FOX, entrepreneur.com, Fast Company, INC, Bloomberg, ABC, NBC and podcasts like The James Altucher Show, The Jordan Harbinger Show, The Dr. Drew podcast, The Aubrey Marcus Podcast, and many more.
