- Oversaw data migration efforts for the US Sales Operations department from offline reporting and legacy systems to a centralized commercial data platform on AWS. Project results led to a decline in reporting sprawl from 100+ dashboards and offline reports to 27 fully automated dashboards.- Led process improvement for global forecast teams to automate data pipelines, centralize business logic, and improve data modeling across 7+ source datasets. The new process led to time savings of 40 hours monthly along with resolving a business-wide pain point to provide a centralized forecasting repository accessible to over 30 stakeholders.- Led the effort to migrate US and Canada Commercial Operations teams to an independent Tableau site to improve user experience, increase agility of executing on department-wide strategies, and streamline site maintenance to free up time for internal teams. The migration involved transitioning 700+ users, 100+ published data sources, and over 150 dashboards. The site launch (included user change management and training) was a seamless transition for users which led to a time savings of 5 hours per week maintaining user access and successfully accomplished the goal to have independent content deployment for Commercial Operations.

- Oversaw data governance, transformation, and staging efforts for US Commercial Forecasting & Analytics migration to a brand new commercial AWS data platform our team built from scratch. This included onboarding 45 unique data providers and over 800 individual datasets to AWS stored for analytics usage in Redshift.- Partnered with cross-functional stakeholders across departments to tackle a critical pain point and build a centralized system of business logic definitions and documentation using Github to cascade definitions across reporting.- Built next-generation commercial KPI dashboard for global leadership teams to reliably track critical metrics. The new dashboard resulted in a consolidation of 12 different reports down to 1 (streamlining user experience), usage jumped approximately 200% relative to prior reporting options, reported errors were reduced to roughly once every 6 months vs. once every 2 weeks, and required hours to maintain the reporting declined from 20+ hours per week, to less than 1 hour per week.- Transitioned legacy reporting dashboard suite to consolidated dashboard hub aimed at driving critical insights for leadership stakeholders in a streamlined fashion. The new dashboard suite reduced reporting sprawl from 50+ reports down to 7 fully automated dashboards.

- Managing team of 3 analysts primarily tasked with data warehousing support, creating/maintaining Power BI dashboards, and increasing commercial sales ops efficiency via automation. - Added key new team function to support commercial operations department around major automation PPI’s. Goals for the function are to work with business stakeholders to identify major processes’ which are currently inefficient or could use improvement and leverage economies of scale with environment we’ve built over years to automate low value activities. 2 major projects of 2021 are expected to yield 103 hours per month and 40 hours per month of time savings respectively. Key value add is this will free up relevant stakeholders for higher value activities to support sales teams. - Continuing to support Nexus platform via PHP endpoint creation and maintenance during expansion to 24 unique productivity tools and are on pace for $130M in revenue for 2021 (100% growth rate YOY). - Increased responsibility around database and AWS resource maintenance. Coordinate with data engineering and ML ops teams on AWS resource allocation with the goal of keeping monthly spend to under $10K. Managed environment now supports 3,000 application users, 120 active DB users, and over 2 TB of data stored in Redshift DB. Worked with dev ops team to craft proper AWS data lake infrastructure utilizing glacier/S3 for data archiving to manage impact/cost on DB. Helped transition users and ETL pipelines to new DB after transition to US East RA3 redshift instance to increase performance and help manage costs. - Partnering with dev ops team to transition away from EC2 ETL pipelines to more standardized and efficient serverless pipeline management via AWS step functions. ETL pipelines have grown to over 30 unique data sources with over 150 pipelines running per week to support internal automations, data staging for Nexus and Power BI, and data consolidation for variety of internal/external sources.

- Primarily supported Nexus, a home grown application which provides product recommendations and productivity tools for 2,000 sales reps. - Via an innovative ensemble machine learning model which generates leads based on end users scientific workflow, the platform has grown from $8M in incremental revenue (new business) in 2018, to $25M in 2019, to $65M in 2020. - Worked with business stakeholders to understand key requirements on majority of our 15 productivity tools. Then worked with software development team and used SQL (Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) to generate endpoints for front end tools (all with expected load times under 2-5 seconds). - Built 7 Power BI dashboards to help track performance via Nexus along with other dashbording requests for commercial teams to track KPI’s. This primarily included compensation reporting for sales teams, COVID spend and activity analysis for client re-opening trends after COVID breakout. - Managed department-wide Power BI gateway and user access via AWS EC2 instance to coordinate with Redshift DB behind company firewall using ODBC connections. - Assisted data engineering team to build and manage ETL pipelines built with custom python scripts scheduled at varying times to run on AWS EC2 instance. Responsible for understanding business requirements, retrieve data from new data sources, and coordinate most efficient use cases within our greater data architecture.
