Recruiter Emeritus
During my tenure, I ensured 5 Wing Commanders slept soundly, by removing concerns pertaining to Recruiting. Consistently provided my supervisors appraisal bullets for their Annual Evaluation Reports, allowing them to masquerade as the driving force of the team. My high productivity facilitated team members to partake in capitalistic rewards, while supervision cradled them in a socialist utopia.Mentored and trained new recruiters, led by example, shared resources & knowledge. My strong production urgency led to me breaking every office record pertaining to accessions, leading the team to surpass annual goal and breaking the prior record held for 7 years (coincidentally, I was also a member of that team), while supervision allowed teammates to poach my leads, establishing mediocre standards. Assumed recruiting responsibilities from the Retention Office, allowing them to collect Proficiency Pay with no production responsibilities. From 2014-2019, I continued exceeding expectations, raising my profile as the "go to guy” enabling my supervisors and team members to seek anonymity and avoid accountability. In turn, I was nationally recognized among my peers as the only proactive member of my team who accepted leads. Thus resulting in increased accessions and Recruiting Command knowing the address of my base so they could mail my annual award. Met with base wide leadership to fulfill their wants and needs with quality accessions, hence raising overall mission effectiveness. My acute insight of the field and fact supported arguments triggered my State Superintendent to emotionally endorse and select sycophantic, sub-performing Recruiters for management positions, leading Command Staff to eventually relieve those selected for incompetence and negligence. Despite this, I still provided unit members a high level of customer service and was the focal point of the office due to a resounding lack of confidence amongst base members towards Recruiting supervision.
