Focused on the Microsoft portfolio of Server and Cloud products, I deliver technical solutions that leverage Microsoft and Lenovo products. I spend my time building solutions based on Lenovo compute, storage, and network systems that run Microsoft Windows Server, Hyper-V, and Azure Stack offerings. I document these solutions via Solution Guides, Reference Architectures, Deployment Guides, and other technical publications that present best practices. I also provide an interface between development teams in Lenovo and Microsoft organizations to facilitate alignment and deliver on new advancements. With a strong focus on product and solution advocacy, I speak to joint customers and prospects at major technical events and through internal forums.

Solution engineering role responsible for building and documenting solutions based on EMC storage products employed in Microsoft Cloud solutions. I was a subject matter expert for integration between EMC storage management tools and Microsoft Windows Server, System Center, and PowerShell. I worked to integrate EMC VNX storage arrays into Cisco UCS converged compute/network infrastructure for Cloud solution deployment. I represented EMC at multiple key technical meetings related to future Microsoft product releases, as well as Microsoft conferences. I contributed to multiple key EMC and Cisco technical documents, including Infrastructure Reference Architecture Guides, Solution Guides, Build Guides, and Cisco Validated Design documents (see Publications).

Technical marketing role responsible for evangelizing IBM systems management solutions that integrate with partner offerings. I specialized in IBM and Microsoft systems management tools that bring together the health and performance data of systems, network, and storage devices, both physical and virtual. I presented and demonstrated IBM systems management products and solutions to customers and business partners. I conducted many formal and informal training programs throughout the world on IBM System x and BladeCenter systems management topics. I co-authored several IBM Redbooks, as well as published IBM TechDocs articles and YouTube video demonstrations of these IBM tools (see Publications).

Drove marketing requirements on a cross-functional team representing all IBM x86 brands. Brought to market multiple products designed to simplify the management of IT systems across heterogeneous environments. Conducted technical product training sessions throughout the world on various systems management solutions.

Managed staff of up to 16 IT professionals responsible for all aspects of the IT infrastructure including server, storage, network, client, and help desk operations. Lead the design and build-out of a new datacenter that consolidated five individual computer rooms spread around the Puget Sound. Consolidated multiple department-level support groups into a single company-wide IT support organization.
