 Managed routine planning, transport utilization, and forecasting for physical Core transport network, including access, long haul, inter-office, local loop, microwave and metro SONET ring facilities. Prepared cost analysis, RFPs, financial projections and cost saving documentation for entrance facilities, grooming, and optimization projects. Track, maintain and monitor utilization of microwave, digital transport, optical transport, and leased systems in the network. Responsible for the overall design, provisioning and optimization of Telco and Ethernet facilities to switch locations and cell sites. Responsible for maintaining and forecasting of the expense and capital budgets for the transport department. Worked with Switch Engineering, Cell Implementation, RF & Performance Engineering, and Operations in meeting the regions key objectives for system availability, network capacity, and reliability. Designed STS level, OC Quadrants, DS3, DS1, and DS0 circuits via CAFÉ, CSG, SBC, Granite/XperWeb/XNG, and Metasolv TBS. Designed and ordered all interconnection trunks; 2A, 2B, 2C, 1 Way, ISUP, SS7 links, and operator services trunks between various ILECs, IXCs, and independent telephone providers. Successfully developed market information questionnaires as well as PSTN and ancillary network drawings using Visio to show all trunk routes per switch. Prepared circuits and cell site forecast projections for network build outs and backhaul facilities. Coordinated end-to-end testing of circuits and trunks with switch and field technicians as well as LEC technicians.
