Excited to join the team at Gradia as a Freelance product designer. I will be in charge of designing a new bi-lingual website and webapp for Gradia's diamond testing laboratory.Current Responsibilities:- Work with executive leadership to define detailed product requirements, ensuring that the product meets customer needs and adoption targets- Conduct UX research including user interviews, usability testing, concept and prototype testing and use data generated to create high-fidelity deliverables- Develop deep understanding of competitive environment, our customers and key product metrics to help determine the right set of features to drive engagement and usage - Clearly communicate UX and design concepts to development team and prepare materials for successful and smooth design hand-off

Let's Save Animals is a new social impact organization that offers consulting advice for individuals, animal shelters, and SPCAs to help them with their business strategy, marketing, and policy developments. Their primary goal is to ensure the success of animal rescue initiatives so that animals can be safe and healthy.I currently hold a volunteer position and am responsible for the design of their new teaching platform where they will be offering educational video content for their clients.

GreenStand is a non-profit organization solving the problems of poverty and climate change with the development of an open-source app. Their tree-tracker app not only helps farmers who live in rural communities get compensated correctly for their tree-planting efforts, but it also creates transparency in the reforestation industry. I am starting a volunteer position as a UX/UI designer at GreenStand and helping design an android application for tree-planters. This project will be like none other I have worked on before because the primary users do not have a lot of experience using apps and many cannot read English. I am excited for the challenge!Current Responsibilities:- Promoted to lead position within 1 month by boosting productivity of team and surpassing performance expectations - Analyze user research data and business objectives with product team to define the scope of the MVP, ideating with the design team within the scope to minimize scope creep - Develop UX documentation, write relevant user stories and use cases to communicate user’s pain points and needs to cross-functional teams- Create personas, wireframe, and apply design thinking with team to test assumptions, prototype, and iterate, ensuring cohesive user experience across all touch points

UBC Emerging Media Lab is an experimental space where students and faculty members collaborate together to create and explore new concepts and tools to enhance the future of education using Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. As a UX design volunteer, I worked closely with the design and software development teams on the ChatSim project. This project aims to use VR to enhance the experience of learning a new language, German or English, by allowing students to practice the language by having natural conversations with a chatbot. Some other things I am learning outside of UX design are 3D modeling using Maya and a bit of game development using Unity. Volunteering at UBC Emerging Media Lab has taught me how to apply design thinking for game development and for virtual reality.
