About Felipe Bier
Since I've my conscience as a human being I've always been fascinated by WATER!I believe that passion started by attend water parks when I was a kid!Then by growing up on an island with 42 beaches, in my teens I got involved with water sports such as Swimming, Rowing, Sailing, Surfing.Later, I chose to follow my professional career linked to this vital element of our lives! Firstly I joined to Oceanography (UNIVALI) course, and one year later I chose to move to Environmental and Sanitation Engineering (UFSC), focusing on getting experience in any subject related to water.In the following 5 years after graduation I've worked as Environmental Engineer at the Danish Hydraulic Institute (DHI) which is a leading global company in numerical modelling of Water Environments!In 2018 I completed MSc. in Environmental Engineering at the Marine Hydraulics Laboratory (LAHIMAR - UFSC) focused in a hydrodynamic-sedimentological study in inlet channels of coastal lagoons. Then, since 2019 I'm working as partner in my own consulting company, HYDROINFO, focused on projects development, modelling studies and technologies in water environments.I hope in the future I can still continue to following paths that the sea can take me, even knowing that sometimes I'll need to paddling against the tide or pass through storms... because is in the storm where you can find stronger winds that can take you further afield... As the 32nd U.S. president (FDR) said: "A smooth sea never made a skillful sailor".
