Engineering Change Planner
Responsible for planning emergent engineering and liaison changes for the Joint Support Ship (JSS) project. Coordination with engineering, detail planning, production control, and trades to plan and schedule emergent change scope of work. Maintenance of the engineering change log with planning and production control activities and status of the changes in relation to these activities.

Adjusted schedule according to changes in priorities and available resources (material, personnel, equipment); making sure the Program Office milestones were accomplished. • Released work orders to Prototype Manufacturing based on MRP data and provided the documentation required to execute the work; making sure the correct instructions were communicated to the team and collaborating with them in accomplishing a high FTT (first time through) yield.• Input and maintained custom Bills of Material (BoM'S) in the material master of an ERP system. • Collaborated with members of the Logistics / Purchasing teams in developing replenishment / forecasting strategies and processes. This allowed optimal inventory levels to be reached, material shortages to be minimized and demand planning to be more efficient. • Processed requirements from internal customers (Engineering, Research, Testing) for assemblies and labor using a workflow management system (Teamcenter) and converted them into work orders using an ERP system (Fourth shift). • Obtained and monitored costs of assemblies for internal customers in case additional parts / labor were required; complied with the requirements set by the Finance department regarding cost variances and contributed to projects staying within budget.
