As a certified business specialist I serve the needs of small to medium sized businesses, self employed professionals, and business executives. I coach business leaders on methods to become more profitable, work less and enjoy their lives more.

Direct, lead, and manage a self-contained special education school program for severely mentally and/or emotionally disturbed children, operating under the auspices of the State Department of Education. Set, implement, and administer strategic plans and policies for the school; establish curriculum, develop and administer budgets, grants, contracts, and facilities, and recruit, train, lead, and oversee the activities of special education professionals and support staff. Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. Patient care assignment may include; Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups. As a member of the Children’s Psychiatric Hospital Clinical Leadership Team, I facilitate the training and implementation of Lobo/Life Wings patient safety initiatives incorporating best practices in systems alignment.

My duties were to improve the quality of teaching and learning of the educational program of the school. Served as an expert source of support through discussion, workshops, one on one coaching, and group coaching. Worked collaboratively with teachers and other administrators to improve the learning system. Engaged in constant revision and improvement of curriculum design and coordination of curriculum improvement, stimulating innovation, developing demonstrations of new procedures and practices, keeping information about new curriculum development and conducted research appropriate to the school system. Evaluated the effectiveness of the educational programs and organized curriculum development teams to conduct investigations of pupils’ progress and prompted follow up studies of dropouts. Responsible for the coordination and implementation of individualized programs for children that needed accommodations due to special circumstances, and was responsible for the implementation of the Bilingual Program at the school. Implemented educational diversity programs for children, parents and community pertaining to cultural sensitivity to promote cultural awareness, respect, and overall positive relations amongst groups.

My duties were to work with other district officials to make sure our school plan was aligned with district plans, and to ensure that the school operated within the budget provided by the district. I was responsible for the day to day operations of the school including, learning, teaching, discipline, and safety, of the students and staff. My duties also included hiring, evaluating and terminating teachers that were not meeting their competencies. When teachers were ineffective, I supported them by providing professional development opportunities or setting up teacher coaching. As the CEO of the school I often received request to meet with parents and community members. I promoted positive relations with all parents and stakeholders to facilitate a positive learning environment.
