Provided leadership resulting in achievement of Capability Maturity Model (CMM) Level 3, and a “re-engineering of the corporation” using the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Criteria as a management framework.The success of the turnaround culminated with the company’s selection by the US Small Business Administration as the 1999 National Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year, the highest award given to any small business in the US. .

Served 24 years in the Air Force . Prior to in 1996, served as Vice Commander and the Base Commander of Kirtland Air Force Base, the third largest base in the Air Force. During my 24 years in the AF, led numerous for the Air Force testing new aircraft and missile systems and also served as an Assistant Professor of Aeronautics at the Air Force Academy, Some highlights of a fun AF career include: worked on the National AeroSpace Program advancing hypersonic technologies and was Program Director for a $294 million Advanced Technology Demonstrator Aircraft Program testing and validating state-of-the-art technologies for future fighter aircraft. The Program and my Team received the Aviation Week and Space Technology’s Distinguished Aerospace Laureate, an international award for “…the most outstanding contribution to Aeronautics and Propulsion in 1990.”
