At 3 Monkeys I am responsible for digital consultancy across business practices, ensuring best practice and creativity are built into the core of campaigns. As the team became more embedded, a permanent head of digital was appointed and more recently a second account director. We have more than doubled the fees for the digital arm of the business and continue to grow year on year without fail.As a small team in a traditional PR environment, it is our role to also be strategic consultants to other practices. This includes platform training, influencer engagement training and online branding introductions - created and conducted by myself and the team with the aim of making those individuals more self sufficient and more validated when speaking with clients on digital practices.In addition to the core role, I also work as a member of an insights and creative team, which ensures best practice is employed across the business, delivering high quality, original and grounded campaigns that continually deliver against client objectives and their business goals.

Heading up the Social Media portion of the agency, this role requires continual assessment of the ever changing Social Media space, ensuring that opportunities and developments do not pass by. I also manage and maintain the company blog (http://blog.essential-communications.com) and regularly post articles covering topics from within the technology industry and the marketing arena, specifically Social Media and web.External responsibilities extend to managing client presences across the space, from twitter streams and blogs, to social bookmarking and rich media support. A truly varied role has enabled me to define and shape this portion of the company and drive it forward into new areas, and ensuring the company remains as cutting edge as possible in this arena.With a real passion for Social Media, this role is both exciting and challenging, and offers opportunities to leverage my creative side and work with members across the business, from account management to digital and creative. This role also allows me to act in an advisory role for clients, ensuring they understand the space, and what should and should not be done in Social Media.

Working within a close knit team, I was responsible for blue chip client marketing strategies, liaising with senior account managers throughout the process. Covering all manner of media, both on and offline, this role greatly extended my understanding of offline marketing strategies, most notably; Tele-marketing and direct mail pieces, which can be used to compliment my extensive online knowledge. With a central role, I had the responsibility to bring together other functional areas within the business, ensuring that client deliverables were met on time and on budget.Working strictly in the IT industry, I further increased my technology awareness and broadened my horizons working in the B2B arena.

With the aim of creating a more forward looking event for the social media elite, The Social Collective sought to bring true visionaries at the cutting edge of the discipline together for a 1 day conference. This was a collective effort in the organisation of the event between myself and 3 others, culminating in one of the most successful events of the year across the industry; by industry professionals for industry professionals.
