Institute for Sport and Sport Science (IfSS)In my PhD (title: "Unraveling the Effects of Expertise and Fatigue on Kinematics and Stride-to-Stride Variability in Running") I worked at the interface between motor science and biomechanics and focused on the application of complex models from motor science to athletic movements. The focus here was on the influence of expertise and fatigue on the variability of movement in running, with critical investigation of applicability being a key point. In the course of working as a research assistant, I also have a lot of opportunity to learn a lot through supervising students and teaching courses, in addition to the technical aspects of the PhD. Working with young motivated people has always encouraged critical questioning and has been very motivating as a result.

Paris

Determination of the dynamic behavior of the thorax in lateral impacts (Master thesis and HiWi activity).Here in Paris, I was able to experience how inspiring and productive working in a dynamic and motivated team can be.

Determination of mechanical properties of bamboo by nanoindentation.It was very interesting to learn about the differences between the work and research at the university and the work and research at the research center. Here I was able to discover my enthusiasm for the field of bio-inspired materials.
