In this role, I coach, guide and supervise the portfolio control & admin team for a range of Growth, Income and Balanced mutual funds valued at over 3.5 Billion in assets. One of the most interesting aspect of my role is the opportunity to collaborate with Portfolio Management team, Compliance, Legal, Traders and Bloomberg to find solution to day to day operational challenges. Culmination of my activities, which includes people, risk and operations management, adds value to the business by enabling the portfolio management process. My team is responsible for cash projections, trade settlement, performs pricing, analysis and valuation of complex corporate action events, reconciles cash and holdings and manages Portfolio's Investment Book of Records.

I was brought in to stabilize a team involved in processing and administration of GICs in RRSP, RRIF, LIF accounts for Investia Financial Services, which is the dealer arm of IA Financial Group. In this role, I have onboarded multiple new GICs, streamlined Advisor support functions, worked with Business System analysis team and Vendor to resolve multiple system issues and designed a GIC rate sheet, one of the critical asks from Advisors.

Functional Manager for GS Trade and Transaction Reporting & Monitoring team responsible for Reporting, Change management / Business Analysis for global reporting obligations to Bank of England, SEC/FINRA, FCA and European Debt Management Offices. Responsibilities involved strategic program planning and resourcing, managing functional deliverables and coordinating with risk, compliance and legal divisions on regulatory rule interpretations and with technology on building ideal reporting solutions.

Managed the implementation of Vendor system globally for Goldman Sachs Asset Management Billing process that helped realize revenue opportunity by reducing the billing cycle for invoicing. This involved; (1) Designing the processes, controls and managing system changes required for this integration and finding solutions to non-compatible elements; (2) Conducting sessions, staff trainings and finalising process maps, procedure and control documents.

Team Manager for EMEA Loan Servicing team responsible for funding and accounting of syndicated and bilateral Loan agreements for European Institutional clients. Key responsibilities involved supervising loan disbursements, validation of credit lines, processing of accrual and payment of interests in Loan IQ, resolution of queries, managing exceptions, risk and control management, representation in weekly risk calls and collaborating with internal teams and business to facilitate continuous process improvements.

Managed the 10 - member Trade & Position Management team supporting EMEA Fixed income and Equities Settlements responsible for meeting SLA deliverables of 13 different pre-settlement related functions involving 22 intraday cut offs. Primary functions were manual payments, pairing off trades, exchange reconciliation, bond conversions, allegements, claims processing, mutual funds settlements and Post settlement Nostro and Stock Reconciliation for EQ and FI settlements in EMEA & ASIA markets.

Manager, Fund Services Reconciliations Center of excellence: managed the exception handling team of 10 responsible for fund accounting and Investment accounting reconciliation for critical clients. Also, participated in Business and system migration projects.

Responsible for designing the process and resolving the outstanding portfolio return discrepancies. Also, migrated this function and managed a team of 4 responsible for Portfolio return reconciliation.

Part of the exception risk management process for mitigating the risks of high value discrepancies with custodians and led the team responsible for Reporting and Managing High risk exceptions.

Responsible for Cash and stock reconciliation of Institutional portfolios against custodian books (received as manual statements / SWIFT messages). This also involved posting of the expenses like management and performance fees, cash flows and corporate action events into the portfolios post validation of the same with Fund Manager/Custodian.
