Catchment Explorer - https://ewgis.org/catchx-global/CatchX is a new NERC-Innovations project which will translate existing scientific data from global models and remote sensing products into a web platform. CatchX aims to enable decision makers at a river catchment level to have access to the latest cutting-edge information to address urgent water resource challenges faced all over the world.Responsible for the development of the web platform, some of the task include:o Installation, deployment and Management of a Web Mapping System (Server and Portal for ArcGIS) using Azure technologyo Data acquisition and pre-processing - including the development of python tools that automated these activitieso Construction and development of the system databaseo Development of mapping application and visualisation tools

Freshwater Links - https://freshwaterlinks.org/Responsible for coordinating the Freshwater Links project which seeks to bring citizen science and governmental data together from across the Thames Water Catchment (TWC) to provide greater insight into the state of the aquatic environment.o Identify and source the data needed for the construction of the Freshwater Links platform by working in collaboration with several of the stakeholders, and organisations participating in the development of the project. o Research and develop a database management system, with geospatial capabilities, structure for the integration of the most significant data setso Construction and development of a web based platform using a combination of web and geographic information systems techniques such as APIs, Feature Services and Web Feature Service (WFS) amongst others. The platform will enable the interpretation of intricate geographic phenomena related to the state of the aquatic environment across the Thames Water Catchment.o Ensure that the platform becomes an incubator of projects by demonstrating its implementation and applicability to potential partners with links to citizen science projects.

o Plan and organise all the spatial data for the final registration of property under the Canal and River Trust in agreement with the Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs (DEFRA). o Participate in a team liaising with Google in order to gather all the data needed to create a version of Street View for Canals’ towpaths. There are 100 canal destinations that can now be viewed by using Canal View through Google maps. (e.g. Gloucester Docks)o Effectively identified and set up an application that suited spatial specifications as well requisites formulated by the environmental team. The application was very successful in this first project, and as a result, other parts of the business have incorporated the use of the application to their daily activities.o Organised the documents containing spatial information for the proposal summited under NATURE2000 made by the Enterprise Team. The main objective of the proposal was to gain funding in order to help the restoration of the Montgomery Canal and public spaces for the benefit of the community surrounding the canal.o Delivered individual and group staff training in the use of geographic information systems to different parts of the business such as administrative and boating divisions.o Ensure that the GIS data complied with the standards of the Trust as well as spatial standards for aspects such as facilities, infrastructure and environment structure, this includes data maintenance and metadata creation amongst other periodic tasks
