As part of background data for the strategy document I updated a community and municipal operations energy inventory to collate baseline energy consumption data. Developed a public informational lecture series to raise local awareness about sustainability topics and success stories.Assisted on development of long-range planning documents (20-30 years), including public outreach and consultation with colleagues within other departments of the municipal organisation, and the State of Alaska. Part of team that set up an ‘Innovation Academy’ in the municipal organisation aimed at analysing daily work processes with the aim to simplify them to deliver services to customers quicker and at less cost. Techniques used included LEAN, Six Sigma, and Nudge theory.
