Support Engineer
CurrentWork providing support to different areas in the organization. FossID has a cutting edge technology detection for Open Source Software Compliance, Dependencies, Licenses, Copyright statements and Vulnerabilities (CPEs, CVEs) using a CLI and a Web Interface which rely on a Web Server (nginx), PHP and MySQL database.Some of my activities include:- Having communication between the customer and partners and the different teams in the organization like development, implementation, infrastructure, marketing and sales.- Test of new releases including clean installations and updates of the product using DEB and RPM Linux packages we generate and review the end user documentation.- Help in the development process by making corrections and improving the end user documentation.- Make exploratory tests and reproduce customer issues on Linux, Windows and Macintosh environments to report to the development team.- Assist in meetings with prospects and customers for demos and troubleshooting.- Training support agents to assist in customer support.For my own fun and development I try new Linux releases and test compatibility with the product and I inform of this to the infrastructure team.
