The Centre of Industrial Collaboration (CIC) provides specific expertise in the field of colour science, pigment and dye chemistry, surface chemistry and inks/coating formulation.My responsibility: • Providing technical support for the industries.• Organising the project against applied standard operating procedures and time scale.• Updating project work process to the line manger and the relevant company through report and presentation at regular meeting.Project experience:• Preparation and Characterisation of UV curable conductive ink using different printing technologies (lithographic, flexographic, ink-jet printing techniques)• Preparation and Characterisation of Organic Thin Film Transistor (OTFT) using spin-coating and ink-jet printing technologies• Development of water-based ink formulation (CMYKW) for textile• Evaluation of the printing performance of commercial desktop inkjet printing cartridges, according to ISO standard method• Preparation and characterisation of UV-curable inkjet ink• Preparation of nanocopper conductive ink formulation• Improving/optimsing inkjet printability of enzyme formulation• Reformulating ink and paint formulation as requirement of customer using a Datacolour software• Applications of Natural Dye on Wool Fibres• Synthesis of the water-contained microcapsules• Synthesis of photo-/thermo- chromic dyes
