I came to documentary filmmaking later in life after a successful career in the 3rd sector. Lately, I divided my time between filmmaking and working as an Interim CEO for CO3, the Chief Officers' Association. I've led 3 different organizations through processes of change, reporting to Boards of Trustees, while improving financial management, HR, safeguarding, communication, and governance. On completion of each contract, the organizations were able to recruit a permanent CEO. As an independent filmmaker, I'm passionate about creating documentaries that emotionally engage people. I produce & direct and I enjoy developing new projects. I'm currently shooting my 2nd feature documentary. I'm a graduate of the Northern Ireland Film & Television School, SERC, Bangor. I also hold post-graduate qualifications in marketing and in mid-career ran a successful marketing communications agency. I've served on a number of Boards including Down GAA; Suicide Down to Zero; the Rural Community Network & New Life Counselling.
