I became a Doula, because I myself am a mother of Three beautiful Kids 2 boys and 1 girl. At the time when I became a mother, I had little support in my early postpartum days. In my second pregnancy I had postpartum depression due to lack of sleep and emotional support. So I decided to become a night doula so I can give mom and family the emotional support they need so they can have a successful recovery and enjoy being a parent.My support is non judgmental and understanding, respecting each parenting style.These are the ways I can help new parents:- Ensure that Mom and family are getting the sleep that they need. I believe that parents need support in order to cope with any curveball that comes at them during the day. Also that way parents can enjoy their little one.- Assist with basic breastfeeding and postpartum recovery - Help with feeding plans to allow new moms to maximize their sleep - Teach newborn care, tend to your baby's needs: feeding, diapering, bathing, cord care, circumcision care, swaddling, soothing techniques.- Establish healthy sleep routines for the baby to minimize the need for a sleep consultant later on.
