Responsible for managing the turn around of CCP and recuperating its share in the peruvian electrical cable market by implementing a financial proposal, machine overhaul plan, minimum capital investment and human resources organization needed to duplicate sales during the first year and make it financially self sustainable. Safety, quality control and quality assurance need to be supported during this process.CCP duplicated its sales from 9 to 19 us per year. In charge of 124 employees.

San Juan, Argentina

Responsible for managing the construction project, quality assurance and safety of a battery of tanks and conveyor structures awarded to 7 local metal factories in San Juan, Argentina, as part of Barrick’s Community Support Program with a budget of USD 3.8 million. Also responsible for directing the Welder’s School and other training workshops sponsored by Barrick.• Supported and supervised the 7 Argentinian metal factories, coached and led them to work with quality assurance and safety management systems and to comply with international metal fabrication standards. • Directed the Welder’s School and other workshops sponsored by Barrick as part of their Community Support Program. Trained 40 welders every 12 weeks.

Den Haag, South Holland, Netherlands

Participated in various international hydrocarbon supply and distribution consulting team projects.• Developed and implemented a “Safe Permit to Work System” for Shell’s world fuel distribution division that reduced spills, incidents and fatalities with estimated savings of more than USD 100 million.• Developed a new worldwide Terminal Operations Manual for Shell’s world Fuels Distribution Division, aimed at training new managers. Saved an estimated of USD 10 million by reducing operational mistakes, spills and increasing safety awareness.• Optimized the use of land and reduced the amount of tanks needed for a tar sands hydrocarbon terminal in northern Canada which achieved a saving of USD 1.5 million.

Guatemala

Strategic direction of the Lubricants Supply Chain for Caribbean, Central America and Mexico. Based in Guatemala. Responsible for 6 lubricants blending plants, 19 depots, 23 countries, 130 employees and a budget of over USD 100 million.• Led the team that increased the region’s earnings in approximately USD 2 million by implementing actions that improved the customer service index from 83 to 95% in coordination with sales, finance, logistics and production. • Saved more than USD 1 million by reviewing the convenience of blending lubricants at the Mexico’s plant instead of importing them from the US.• Implemented a safer lubricants dispatch and routing system from the Guatemala plant that reduced lubricants and truck thefts to cero and saved around USD 1 million.• Reduced working capital by USD 850 thousand by negotiating and implementing a new inter plants transfer procedure for slow moving additives.• Reduced the operational budget in USD 750 thousand by optimizing the lubricants plants processes and reassigning responsibilities of supervisory staff.• Negotiated local lubricant’s production agreement in Dominican Republic obtaining better conditions that increased sales income by USD 400 thousand per year.

Responsible for the lubricants and fuels supply chain operations in Peru with a yearly budget of USD 200 million. In charge of the lubricants plant, 13 fuel dispatch terminals, and more than 120 employees.• By a correct analysis of the daily international fuel price fluctuations and by negotiating better conditions with local refineries, achieved a fuel’s stock income of USD 3 million.• Negotiated a lubricants joint operations agreement with Texaco that reduced lubricants unit costs by 10% and saved USD 4 million during the term of the contract.

• Responsible for implementing the fuels transport and distribution infrastructure, procedures, hiring and developing staff, for the peruvian fuels market entr after the governemt de regulated the fues market.• Optimization of the trucks loading process and routing system plus negotiating nightly fuel reception by the service stations; improved vehicle utilization from 2.3 to 3.5 trips per day and saved an estimated of USD 250 thousand.
