Hello! I'm Fernando.I started having contact with computers at the age of 11 and since then I use them daily to solve problems. At 16 I started a degree in Computer Engineering. The following year I abandoned college and together with 3 friends I started my first company, which I still participate in today. Throughout this adventure of more than 20 years I started two more businesses and helped several companies to develop innovative solutions and products, almost always involving Linux or some other major free software project.My first contact with Unix-based operating systems was with an IBM AIX in 1997 and right after that I started using Slackware on my home computer. Since then I am a Linux and open source advocate and have never stopped learning and training myself. I was one of the first professionals to obtain RedHat Certified Engineer certification in Brazil and also reached the LPIC-3 level of the Linux Professional Institute, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Windows Server, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator and Microsoft 365 Certified Enterprise Administrator Expert.Having worked as a solutions architect in hundreds of consultancies, I had the joy of interacting with all kinds of people, getting to know a little bit of every kind of company operations in the most diverse sectors: from coffee producers to fintechs, from startups to educational groups with more than 100 years. I was able to collaborate with all types of projects, such as infrastructure, integration or software development. All kinds: from datacenter construction to urban video monitoring, from payroll software programming to business analytics with machine learning, from creating a telco operator to digitally certified document storage, from drill bit simulations to development of embedded SNMP agent. I am pleased to say that I was able to apply in the real world everything I learned in my Computer Science degree.To solve such diverse problems it is necessary to have a wide variety of tools: I have already developed software using Perl, PHP, Java, Python and JavaScript, I have fixed bugs in source code in C, C #, Ruby and even Fortran 77.I can especially help companies looking for:- increase the maturity of your computing environment- improve the reliability of applications, services and processes- create innovative technology-based products- integrate, automate or scale your processes- a digital transformation leader
