I was in charge of the Competitiveness and Performance area that has been responsible to drive the Centre of Excellence actions based on an integrated vision of the iron ore chain.During this period, in order to achieve this goal, we’ve developed some important solutions that challenge the status quo using Advanced Analysis techniques and global benchmarking in order to achieve new levels of value chain performance and productivity, Such as:- Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to predict the moisture content values of the ore to be shipped, providing greater previsibility in the shipment planning process, respecting the safety and TML criteria;- Development of process simulations to support the analysis of bottlenecks and production capacity of the whole stages of the value chain (mine, plant, railroad and port). Solutions that supported more than $ 250 million disinvestment decision.- Development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to predict the behavior of capacity assumptions, allowing the identification of bottlenecks and risks of non-compliance with the production program, supporting and driving engineering to act proactivily to figure out how to mitigate the risk.- Implementation of a systematic process for identifying asset performance gaps based on internal, external and potential benchmark references.- Defined a program focused on workforce productivity, using agile methodology, we defined several squads each one with specific focus such as on reStructuring and Maintenance Planning, Robotization of Activities, Workforce ZBB, external benchmarking, laboratory automation and shifts optimization.- Development of Asset Monitoring Center (CMA) concept that shall be implemented in overall Ferrous Department (Mine to Port). Focused on supporting the asset management decision process based on asset health. In order to integrate the whole horizons of decisions we defined two layers: Global CMA and Local CMA

As an outcome, we achieved a total of improvement around 9% in productivity that bring up the terminal's capacity.- Led a multifunctional team to define the Digital Transformations roadmap for all Vale’s Ports, aimed to improve the asset performance management, addressing the cultural mindset change.

Optmized the conveyor belt system with a innovative way to started (Reverse Route), reached about 8% of productivity improvement on the loading circuit of General Cargo Terminal. Automation the openning of Wagons in the Grain Terminal that allowed to reduced about 40 FTE in the operation contract.- In charge of definition the engineering standard that shall be considered in development of automation projects globally. (Brown Field and Green Field – Brazil, Mozambique e Malaysia)- Responsible for maintenance strategy definition for automation assets focused in cost and reliability. (field instrumentation, field network, PLC, switchs, sensors, CCTV, radios, radar, laser, servers, softwares, data base, data center, HMI, OCC, etc)
