For styling we used SCSS and Flex to make it responsive.Backend side was developed as a micro-service using Kotlin. The micro-service communicated with a legacy monolith (being refactored as an on-going effort). REST was used for communication with the Frontend side. DB chosen was PostgreSQL.On the Frontend Side, the map lazy loaded all GPS coords and showed them with their date times. Lazy loading was chosen to improve performance (some drivers logged more than 10k coordinates during their trips to the wells)A Geofence feature was created to allow clients to know if the drivers actually hit the place where they had to be doing their jobs. This geofence showed in the map with a circle to demarcate the covered area.Alerts were created to know if drivers hit the geofences or not and in what percentage: some trips had more than one geofence.Developed unit tests for the frontend using Jest; for the backend side we used Groovy / Java.Code coverage achieved was in all cases > 85%.Developed end to end tests for the frontend using Cypress.Performed maintenance and bug fixing tasks on the monolith, developed with Java and Oracle DB.CI tool used was Jenkins.Version control with Git.
