As a Research Assistant working alongside the co-directors of the MS HCI program, Fernando focuses on creating accessible and interactive visual designs that enhance usability for diverse audiences.In addition to his academic pursuits, Fernando is the founder and owner of Old American Goods, an antique clothing wholesale business specializing in American casual and military apparel from the late 1800s to the present. His expertise in this niche is backed by extensive knowledge of garment history and trend analysis.Fernando also brings a strong creative background, having worked as a Photographer and Creative Director for various small streetwear companies. In these roles, he developed a keen eye for visual storytelling and brand development. He has advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud products, which he uses to bring concepts to life across multiple media platforms.His diverse experience blends entrepreneurial spirit, design thinking, and historical knowledge, allowing him to approach problems from unique perspectives.
