Frank Greene is an expert in affordable housing planning and development, urban redevelopment, form-based codes and design review. He has been Principal Architect for Greene Design since 2009 and is founder of Locale Community Design. He coordinated planning, design and construction of over 600 dwellings as Director of Development for Chattanooga Neighborhood Enterprise and had a key role in the revitalization of Chattanooga’s historic city center. Frank was the chief code writer for Envision VIcksburg, one of the first customizations of the form-based SmartCode. Frank has worked on planning and design projects throughout the Southeastern US and the Caribbean, including Chattanooga’s Tennessee River Walk and Miller Plaza, both recipients of AIA national Honor Awards for urban design. He is Town Architect for the New Urbanist communities of Rosemary Beach and Draper Lake in Walton County, Florida. Frank is active in the Congress for the New Urbanism and is a founding member of the New Urban Guild.
