I was tasked with scoping the market to identify potential employees and to assist with the technical review of these based on the customer’s needs. I screened over 150 potential employees in just 2 days and set the process in motion. In under a month I, in conjunction with my Boss, found and signed all employees for the customer.

Danske Spil A/S aimed to update their homepage to highlight the “Play Responsibly” message. However, it became clear that their existing layout and code could not be updated and required redevelopment. The new homepage needed to go live before the 2024 European Championship (EM), as there was a code freeze during the summer.The project encountered numerous unforeseen issues and delays, and the testing process was off track before Lars took over as Test Manager. In a short time, Lars realigned the project, ensuring the product was accepted by the business and launched before EM 2024.

Danske Spil A/S operates several test environments, used by multiple geographically dispersed subcontractors. A full-time resource had been allocated to communicate with subcontractors and troubleshoot issues in the environments. When this resource left, there was a lack of clarity about the role and what profile was needed to fill it in the future.Lars was brought in to gain an overview of the task, document the workflow, explore possibilities to structure the task, and establish it within Danske Spil A/S.Results:Task documentation created in Confluence.Anchored support for test environments within the testing department.Developed a proof of concept (POC) for automated GUI testing of the test environment.Developed technical API tests to smoke test APIs exposed by a subcontractor.

The project's goal was to deliver Denmark's first mobile-based alert system in collaboration with external suppliers, the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization (FMI), the Danish Emergency Management Agency (Beredskabsstyrelsen), the Danish Agency for Governmental IT (RPTL), all Danish telecom operators, Google, and Apple. Lars joined the project in its final three months, requiring him to quickly familiarize himself with two years of prior testing efforts, mobile coverage, and emergency response plans.Based on this understanding, Lars was tasked with developing a test strategy and test plan for delivering a Minimum Viable Product (MVP).

The Danish Defence has its own payroll system and sought to explore the possibility of transferring it to the Agency for Public Finance and Management. A project was initiated to gain an overview of the changes this would entail.The aim was to map out internal processes and systems and assess the impact of the new payroll model. The project was divided into several phases, and Lars was involved in the analysis phase.Lars’ task was to develop a test strategy that could cover all affected areas and be tailored to the specific needs of each.As the program test manager, Lars was responsible for testing for both the Defence Personnel Agency and the Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organization. He also coordinated the testing efforts with the Agency for Public Finance and Management.The test team was spread across Denmark, and Lars traveled between locations to establish connections and improve communication.

Århus

The Lars had test responsibility within an agile team consisting of two developers and one tester. He was responsible for preparing reports for Vestas' project management group.With very short notice, the consultant had to plan and execute a UAT for an MVP release while simultaneously refactoring their automated tests to align with the UAT materials.The entire UAT was conducted on a mock system, with an agreement to fully automate the tested use cases. This allowed the approved functionality to be validated later in the live system, ensuring the product was approved within a tight deadline. The concept, proposed by Lars in his role as Test Manager, was untested.Result:The MVP was approved with high user satisfaction.

Aarhus, Middle Jutland, Denmark

VestasOnline is a digital platform where wind turbine owners, under a Vestas service agreement, can easily and securely access self-service options. The platform operates with two different tracks: maintenance and new development. The client aimed to automate more of their tests.Lars’ task was to engage with the team to facilitate the automation of additional tests while also assisting with testing tasks related to both new development and maintenance work.Lars was part of an agile team spread across Denmark and Poland, and he regularly participated in weekly in-person meetings at Vestas HQ in Aarhus.

The consultant has achieved significant results in his role. He built an automated testing system and standardized build processes, leading to increased efficiency. Through task automation, he freed up 60% of the support team’s resources, allowing them to focus on other priorities. Additionally, he developed internal tools and established a standardized testing structure.As a team coordinator, the consultant led three colleagues and implemented a 3-tier support system, significantly reducing customer wait times. He also negotiated data agreements with major players like RS-Online, Omron, and Siemens. The consultant delivered a presentation to over 100 people on the use of a specific program and served as Product Owner (PO) for two products.Additional Responsibilities:The consultant was a workplace safety representative for two years.

The consultant commissioned OEM equipment, handled customer inquiries, provided customer training, and managed projects with budgets of 1 million euros. He created installation documentation for factory installations of OEM equipment. Additionally, the consultant reduced the need for external consultants by analyzing processes on UNIX systems and implementing streamlined workflows to address these issues.
