Oracle database Team leader / Senior Oracle DBA, most of my efforts are towards managing the team and interfacing with customers, among others I'm responsible for SLAs, management reports, tasks distribution, team organization and I'm also involved in critical issues to speed up resolution even when the problem is not database related.

Responsible for maintaining several DBs including VisaVale’s card authorization system comprising over 6 million customers using Oracle RAC 10g and OEM Grid Control as well as disaster recover DB using Oracle DataGuard. Analyze and fix several issues due to the high amount of transactions processed (around 150 transactions per second), comprising problems from process priority on the OS layer going all the way to individual querieswith poor performance.Backup and recovery using different techniques such as RMAN to tape, physical copy of DB, RMAN to disk, etc.Install Patches and Oracle versions upgrade / migration.Management reports to monitor DB and OS performance.Among the technologies used we have: ASM, DataGuard, OEM Grid, Oracle versions 9i and 10g, HP-UX, Solaris and Red Hat.

Oracle certified DBA (OCP) working on IBM Brasil on the Sprint Nextel account.Job roles:Provide support to several DBs from 8i to 10g, including DBs used on the sales system of the company and several other Mission / Business critical databases with availability close to 100%.Backup and recovery routines, queries optimization, problem research and fix.Proactive maintenance in order to avoid problems.Adequate DBs to the SOX rules.Provide support to RAC DBs running under ASM with Data Guard physical standby used as a disaster recover as long as VERITAS cluster DBs used in active-passive mode.9i to 10g upgrade and migration compromising all the pre-upgrade tests to ensure proper performance in 10g.

DB Modeling and tuning on versions 9i and 10g. Query optimization andbackup / recovery routines. PL/SQL and VB developing.

PowerBuilder development for a toll fare collection system and simple DBA tasks such as user maintenance, backup and recovery routines, query analysis among other simple DBA tasks. DB modeling using Erwin and DBDesigner.
