Standing tall at 6’9”, Franko Filipovic started playing basketball at an early age in his home country of Croatia and instantly had a strong passion for the game. Franco’s dedication would eventually bring him to play 3 years with KK Cedevita where he continued to develop his game. After putting up astonishing statistics in the playoffs for Cedevita, Franko was called to play with Kvarner in 2010. While with Kvarner, Franko averaged; 10.2 PPG, shot for a FGP of 63.4%, had a 26.2% 3FGP, shot for 68.2% in FT, and had 4.1 RPG.In 2011, he decided to leave Croatia and start his international career with the BC Perla Harghita in Romania for the 2012-2013 season. Filipovic’s hard work ethic really started to appear when his stats jumped up from the previous year. He played in 37 games averaging 27.8 MIN, 14.6 PPG, shot for a FGP of 56.4%, increased his 3FGP to 42.9%, shot for 76% in FT, totaled 4.6 RPG, and had 10 blocks on the season.
