Fiona has over 30 years experience within Adult Social Care, qualifying as a social worker in 1992. She specialises in supporting services to achieve compliance with the Health and Social Care Act, promoting a person-centered approach at all levels, supporting implementation of the Care Act, motivating staff teams to achieve change and developing staff. Fiona has developed and delivered training relevant to her role, developed policy to implement within older people’s and Learning Disabilities Services, developed tools to support management of falls, dependency levels and improve communication within services. Fiona has a solution focused approach and well-developed stakeholder relationships. For the past 2 years she has worked as a Commissioning Manager. She is also a Carer and is passionate about supporting people to live well with dementia, focussing on building positive interactions, relationships and improving quality of life. She has developed and delivers training specific to supporting people with dementia who experience behaviour of concern (also known as BPSD)
