In my current role, I am working within the Early Careers Team at Thales. I have been responsible for co-ordinating virtual assessment centres for prospective apprentices and graduates who are looking to join the business. I have been in the role of both an AC Manager and Lead Assessor have also had the opportunity to step in as an assessor where I was able to observe candidate's behaviour during group activities and conduct 1-1 behavioural interviews for various roles.I am also responsible for conducting right to work checks with successful candidates and beginning their onboarding process in Workday.I have also been working within the Employment Law department, helping to ensure that relevant documents are collected in preparation for disclosure exercises.

In my job as a Style Advisor, I worked mainly in a customer facing position where I provided customers with support whilst they shopped, and used my wide product knowledge to advise and make recommendations which allowed the customer to find exactly what they were looking for. I took pride in keeping the shop floor organised by ensuring that all sizes of items available are on the shop floor and accessible to customers, as well as keeping the shop floor clean and tidy to ensure customers had a pleasant shopping experience. I always tried to go above and beyond what was expected of me to make customers happy, whether that be by tracking an item down for them from another Mint Velvet Store, or ensuring that any problems are dealt with in a quick and professional manner to resolve them.

During term time I tutored children after school in various subjects including English, Maths, Chemistry and Biology, of levels ranging from National 4 to Higher. I was able to assist them in their learning by introducing new methods of revision, and assessing their knowledge with worksheets and questions which are tailored to each pupil's needs and abilities. During the sessions I aimed to create a relaxed environment which allowed the child to feel comfortable and happy to ask questions if they were struggling with a specific part of their course. I also aimed to build my pupil’s self-confidence during my time with them, and as a result found this role very satisfying as I got to see them grow and improve their abilities as time went on.

In my job as Dispenset, I worked both customer facing on the healthcare counter and behind the scenes within the dispensary itself. When working on the healthcare counter, I had to ensure that I was knowledgeable with regards to the various medications sold over-the-counter, which would allow me to give the customer all the information they required to leave them feeling confident and informed on how to take the medication safely. In the dispensary, my day-to-day tasks involved dispensing medication safely and accurately. I was also responsible for ordering medications, endorsing and collecting prescriptions, and following strict protocol when dispensing controlled substances to patients.
