I specialise in writing about technology solutions for the hospitality industry, particularly for the pub industry website The Morning Advertiser. As well as editorial pieces on different aspects of hospitality tech, I write promotional features for major technology suppliers.I also write articles and blog content for tech companies' own websites.

I write press releases and generate coverage for a number of clients in the food & drink and technology sectors.

Since 2006 I have been specialising in food and drink and travel writing in a freelance capacity. Clients have included trade publications such as Restaurant, Pub & Bar, The Morning Advertiser and Eat Out. I have also written for, amongst others, The Times (food pieces for the T2 supplement), The Independent (hotel and restaurant reviews), and BA High Life (British Airways’ in-flight magazine).I also write content for food & drink and travel guides online as well as print.

I became assistant editor of The AA Restaurant Guide in 2009 and editor in 2012 until 2014. My role included gathering information from restaurants to be included in the guide, commissioning writers, writing entries, editing entries, proof-reading, putting together pages in In Design, liaising with The AA's team of restaurant and hotel inspectors, and writing editorial features to be printed in the front of the guide. I also carried out restaurant inspections and made awards at 1 and 2 Rosette level.

I was Assistant Editor on the trade publication H - The Hotel Magazine (Restaurant's sister title, published by William Reed Business Media) for nearly 2 years until it closed in August 2008.

I was the Daily Echo’s restaurant critic (reviewing restaurants on a weekly basis from May 2003 until October 2006) and editor of the newspaper’s weekly food and drink supplement Taste. I also wrote travel pieces and general features for the Echo’s Weekend Magazine and the glossy lifestyle magazine Dorset Society.

As a news reporter and features writer at the Daily Echo in Southampton I covered various news stories as well as reviewing restaurants for the weekend entertainment guide, and writing features for the glossy lifestyle magazine Hampshire Society.
