Fair Work Building & Constructions (now the ABCC) is a Federal Government agency which regulates the Australian Building & Construction Industry. An independent statutory agency, FWBC operates in a highly politicised broader context, with changes in Federal Government often resulting in significant changes to the agency and its focus. As the Media & Stakeholder Officer I reported to the Media & Stakeholder Manager and to the Agency Director as the need arose. The role required highly developed communication skills and a strong understanding of all aspects of the agency, including workplace relations laws.

Senator Ricky Muir was elected as Senator for Victoria in the 2013 Federal election, representing the Australian Motoring Enthusiast Party. Senator Muir's term began on 1 July 2014.In my role as Office Manager, along with providing executive support to both the Senator and his Chief of Staff, I was responsible for implementing all administrative functions of the office and managing the administration assistant.
