I led the finance team and reported directly to the Managing Director locally and Kantar Media Reputation Intelligence CFO internationally. My responsibilities included:• Monthly and year end reporting of consolidated Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland results to tight deadlines• FP&A - Budgeting and quarterly reforecasting including presentation to Group CEO & CFO highlighting key opportunities and threats in local market. • Preparation of financial information for the Senior Management Team including variance analysis vs budget & prior year, product performance and client movement review.• Management of finance team including individual performance reviews• Co-ordination of internal SOX audits and external audits• Creation and improvement of internal control processes in accordance with SOX guidance• Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes• Oversee ROI and NI VAT and VIES returns

I worked as an audit trainee on a diverse portfolio of clients within the financial services department including a large stockbroker, some funds and a number of pension schemes.After passing CAP 2 exams I left KPMG for a move to industry having realised Financial Services was not the career path I wanted to follow.
