I have experience of policy work in government for AusAID and the Australian industry department. I have an interdisciplinary Masters Degree in Environmental Management and Development from the ANU. I authored a discussion paper for WWF that prefigured the inclusion of deforestation in Australia's Kyoto Protocol obligations. I worked on REDD+ (Reducting Emissions from Deforestation and forest Degradation) and Land Use issues for the Wilderness Society for a number of years and contributed to Climate Action Network International (CAN-I) submissions to the UNFCCC. In 2007 I became Co-coordinator for the CAN-I Land Use, Land Use Change & Forestry working group until late in 2008. I attended several UNFCCC climate meetings including COP6, COP13 and COP 25. I have organised volunteers for Cairns Climate Action Network and The Wilderness Society. I attended the UNFCCC subsidiary body meeting and the Standing Committee on Finance meeting in Bangkok in 2018. Presented on Climate Finance and Aid at the Australasian Aid Conference at the ANU in 2019.
