I have 33 years experience in leadership as the CEO of The Music Bus - a national music tuition company that I have grown from a sole operator to the largest music tuition in Australia currently with over 5,500 students. We have now partnered with state and National peak principal bodies to become the preferred school music provider across every state in Australia. I have Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) as well as an Assoc Diploma in Music Teaching and the Music Bus is the perfect business for me to combine my business and music skills.Outside of The Music Bus I am an active volunteer - currently sitting on the Board of Directors at Wanda Surf Club as the President. This has enabled me to use my business skills in a sport that I am very passionate about. Additionally I am a patrolling member, holding my Bronze Medallion in Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue.Under my leadership the Music Bus has 4 times been awarded the business of the year in both Specialised business and Outstanding Educational business and in 2018 I was given the highest individual honour by being named Sutherland Shire Business Person of the Year - a very prestigious award.For the Music Bus to have survived, grown and thrived over a period of 30 years (including COVID shut downs) is testament to my strong leadership, willingness to embrace new technology and innovation, my desire to be a a ground breaker in my industry and my dogged determination to put my whole self into my business.I am very proud of what The Music Bus has achieved and my own development as an astute business person and excited about the period ahead where I believe that we will take The Music Bus to the next level.
