While completing an extensive one-year postgraduate program, I was fortunate to intern at Canada's largest and longest-running literary festival. I contributed to the TIFA blog, wrote social media and promotional content, obtained prize donations and liaised with authors and publishing houses. On completion of my internship, I was asked to stay on to continue helping prepare for the 41st Festival, which was to be held in a virtual format due to COVID-19.

I provided ongoing marketing and multimedia support for the Catholic Education Office and their 56 schools and 8 Early Learning Centres in the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn (ACT and NSW). I was responsible for creating a 'glass walls' approach to share the high-quality teaching and learning within the schools to encourage enrolments.I maintained and enhanced Catholic Education's communication channels, managed social media, developed web content, wrote editorial and invested in creative advertising. I gained experience in internal communications, media liaison, strategic planning and stakeholder engagement.

In my role as marketing coordinator for bimonthly community magazine 'Loving Nundah' I thoroughly enjoyed being an all rounder, which involved everything from sourcing content to writing articles, planning and implementation, to printing and distribution. In addition to the printed magazine, I was also responsible for updating the website and putting together a monthly e-newletter. Since joining the Loving Nundah team in May 2014 and taking the lead with social media, the Facebook page grew sixfold, from 800 likes to 5,000.
