I am an Architect with over 15 years experience, and an Associate at SRA Architects in Bath. Originally from Scotland, I studied architecture at the University of Dundee, gaining experience working at several practices in Edinburgh and Glasgow, before taking a secondment opportunity to work for a large multi-national company in the Dubai.Today, I’ve been working within the South West, Oxfordshire, London, and Central regions for over 10 years, and specialise in reuse and refurbishment, workplace, research, industrial and masterplanning sectors. Within SRA I champion the IMS/QA and CPD portfolios, whilst leading internal and external teams on a wide range of challenging projects. I am a highly motivated team player passionate about the work that I do, and enjoying working with new and existing clients to realise their vision for projects. I joined Boon Brown Architects in the latter part of 2013, quickly gaining experience in a number of sectors, in particular residential.Key Projects Include:- 22 Bute Gardens, Hammersmith (stages D-F) (50 residential units split over two blocks)- Sherborne Girls School (stage D) (various planning applications; window replacement, new signage, roof replacement)- Chequer's Inn, Bourne End (stages D-F) (12 bed new build extension, restaurant extension & internal alternations)- Ph 1 Tail Mill, Merriott (D-F) ( 4 no. new build dwellings & conversion of warehouse building)

Due to increased work load within the Dubai office of Archial's sister company NORR, I volunteered to undertake a nine week work secondment at the end of 2011. During the nine weeks I spent the majority of my time working on two projects in Tehran; Tat Bank HQ and the Tat Mall. Both projects were within RIBA work stages B-D. My main responsibilities were to prepare revised drawings for client presentations and liaise with structural & M/E consultants to aid in the development of the designs.

During my Part 2 work experience I mainly worked on a range of commercial office and leisure developments through out Edinburgh, Glasgow and Highlands. Key projects include: - Interpoint House, Edinburgh (47,000sqft office development, Contract Sum £7m)- 141 Bothwell St, Glasgow 180,000sqft office development, Contract Sum £35m)- Skibo Castle Swimming Pavilion, Sutherland 6,850sqft refurbishment, Contract Sum £4m)My main responsibilities were to prepare construction drawings, liaise with consultants, and attend site and meetings. I also undertook a 2 month work secondment with SMC Davis Duncan, Glasgow to work on a couple of NHS projects preparing building warrant drawings.
Part 2 Architectural Assistant
During my 3 month work experience placement I mainly worked on a couple of residential projects; steading conversion and a town house conversion. My main responsibilities were to prepare building warrant drawings for the steading conversion and a planning application for the town house conversion to flats.

During my part 1 placement I worked on a range of PPP educational projects through out Aberdeenshire and Edinburgh. Key projects include Braidburn Special Needs School in Edinburgh and Kintore and Hill of Banchory Primary Schools in Aberdeenshire. All three projects were within the RIBA work stage (F-K). My main responsibilities were to prepare construction drawings, liaise with consultants and attend site meetings.
