Wen Feng is an award-winning creative executive, producer, director, author and teacher. Wen co-founded Magic Dumpling Entertainment in 2009 - cultivating a slate of animation properties that led to her role as Director of Development for the Disney China Local Content team from 2012-2015. At Disney, Wen developed a range of Chinese animation & live-action properties, producing four top-rated series in China, including Disney's first Chinese TV co-production: BAN JIN BA LIANG. Her subsequent work on Impact Eyes’ WALK IN CHINA VR series garnered critical acclaim. Wen is currently the founder & Head of Development of tellretell in Taipei, developing various projects including the animated feature film HIDDEN IN THE PEACH BLOSSOM GARDEN, while exploring real-time animation development workflows and production processes. She has recently provided content development services to companies including Nickelodeon, iQiyi and CCTV.Wen Feng's earlier career includes a series of critically-acclaimed animated short films including “Lost”, which won awards at film festivals across China, Taiwan, Japan and South Korea. The jury of Germany’s Stuart Animation Festival praised “Lost” for “creating a new animation language”. Wen’s “Best of Both Worlds” aired on Beijing Television as an instructional animation teaching English in an entertaining way. Her “Scientific Story of Little S” aired on CCTV as an instructional science animation. CCTV’s “Chronicle” program featured Wen's animated short film “About Memory” in a profile of up-and-coming Chinese animation directors.Wen Feng’s earliest animation industry experience included work at Taiwan’s e21, where she animated projects for clients such as Asus, Acer and TSMC. As a project supervisor at China’s Spring Advertising, Wen organized a design competition, chose a corporate mascot and created a product application & marketing plan for China Unicom.Wen Feng has lectured worldwide. Her publishing history includes a half-dozen volumes on the subject of animation. Ms. Feng’s “Foundations of Animated Film & Television” was officially designated as a “classic textbook standard” by both the Beijing Film Academy and China’s Ministry of Education. Her “Language of Animated Films” was likewise designated by officials of An Hui province in mainland China.
