• Working as a Project Manager in Tata Motors (Commercial Vehicle Business Unit) for Ambulance, Fire fighters and other defence specialist vehicles. • Interaction with TML-Marketing for participation in Tenders by formulating Tender specifications mapping & Commercial proposal on customer specifications within stipulated timeframe. • Co-ordinating New Product development activities & ensuring timely commencement of Proto Vehicle and Bulk Production.• Driving the New Product development: Single Point of contact for Sales, marketing, Field manufacturing quality, vendor & other stakeholders involved in the new Product development activity.• Prepare business case for vendor selection & Presenting it to senior management for finalization of Vendor for every Project.• Monthly MIS to the Senior management on the status of the various Projects.• Involved in commissioning and demonstration of specialist vehicles to customer.• Technical inputs to After sales team to address the after sales/warranty issues.• Negotiating and finalizing the Commercials with the Vendor to offer the best possible quote to Marketing during Tender participation.• Controlling monopoly of suppliers by developing multiple sources for the same Product.• Overseeing releasing of technical specification and dwg. of new product by vendor.• Ensuring the designing of new products by using APQP and PPAP Tools • Establishing various unique parts that required for new product development as per the source and supplier list • Overseeing various activities like development, finalization of new product BOM (Bill of Material), etc. • Involved in release of OSB and UHB as well as spare part Catalogue of new product• Looking after complete Production planning & controlling of monthly defence MTOs on several Tata Chassis Platforms.
