I pride myself on educating & taking out the financial worry for my clients. I can relate to their queries on how a financial planner can help them because when I started a marketing role in a financial planning company, I didn't know about financial plans or strategies either. But it wasn't long before I knew I wanted to change my career path and progressed through financial planning roles in order to pursue my Certified Financial Planner accreditation, completed in 2008. I've now been an adviser for over 15 years and in the industry since 2004.I am not just in financial planning to hand out statements of advice - educating my clients, especially the younger ‘Generation X & Y’, is the main focus of my engagements. Sometimes this can be answering general questions but it can also be discussing hard truths and dispelling myths. My passion is specialised advice for professional women through wealth creation & protection strategies. It is important that women take an interest in their finances (boring as it is!) whether they are just starting out in their career or just rely on their partner to make all the financial decisions. I pride myself on strong relationships with other professionals, giving my clients a complete financial solution with access to a network of specialists offering advice in areas such as accounting, tax, law, estate planning, property and mortgage broking services. Recently its been great to talk about ethical investing with my clients and customising a portfolio in line with their ethical preferences. Out of the office I enjoy live sport with my husband, trying all the restaurants in Newtown and cultivating my balcony garden.
