In an Australian first, act. blends banking with the world of crowd funding. My role with act. is to introduce this innovative way of banking to not-for-profit and social enterprise organisations and their staff, members and supporters.Organisations can use act. to increase the positive impact they create, by diversifying their revenue streams.Individuals who bank with act.through their home or personal loan, credit card or bank account earn impact dollars each month, which they can donate to a wide range of social and environmental impact projects. For more info check out the video below or pay us a visit at www.letsact.com.au
Senior Manager, Education And Engagement
During 2013/2014 my role was within the Bank’s ‘Community Super’ project team. This varied role included research, relationship building and management (with both internal and external stakeholders) and communications. The role required me to build relationships across the Bank and manage partnerships with organisations such as Earth Hour (WWF) the Centre for Sustainability Leadership (CSL) and others. Influencing key stakeholders within Bendigo & Adelaide Bank to understand the opportunity presented by strengthening their stance on sustainability, including the publication of a fossil fuel statement was a challenging and rewarding part of this role. From late 2014, within the Wealth Innovation team I was charged with applying a ‘user centred design’ process to the Wealth product range, with the aim of improving the end to end customer experience offered both online and in branch. The focus of the role was hands design and execution of research activities (interviews, workshops etc.) with internal stakeholders, experts and customers.
Senior Manager, Wealth Learning
I led a team responsible for providing learning and development opportunities to staff across Bendigo Wealth. Teams include Financial Planning, Wealth Consulting, Sales, Customer Service and Operations. This included management of Continuing Professional Development to comply with RG146 for all client facing staff. This role also included coaching and assessment of newly qualified or employed advisers to determine their capability and qualification status before they worked with clients.
Learning And Development Consultant
After returning part time from maternity leave my position involved the development of training materials, session planning and facilitation of training to groups of staff across the business as well as one on one coaching sessions.
Client Services Manager
At Macquarie I managed a team of up to 16 account managers who were responsible for servicing Margin Lending clients and their brokers and financial advisers, by telephone and email. This servicing included providing timely and accurate information about the status of accounts, issuing margin calls and cross promotion of products. The position involved day to day management of all aspects of the team’s performance plus recruitment, training and coaching of team members.
Advice Channel Manager And Financial Planner
During my time with Neville Ward Direct I was responsible for the establishment of a financial planning business to run in tandem with the existing non-advice managed fund brokerage services offered by the firm. This involved the research and testing of software systems for the business, designing and writing procedures and the recruitment and training of financial planning staff. I generated a significant client base of my own whist building the business and ensuring ongoing growth and compliance with legislation.I was also responsible for providing product and procedural training to customer service officers, presenting workshops and seminars to clients on DIY financial planning and Superannuation plus managing 3rd party relationships with service providers.
