Since joining Populous' London office in 2015, Nick has been involved in the design and delivery of a number of major projects in a wide variety of scales, climatic conditions, building typologies and project phases.Nick started his career at Populous by working on the design of several stadium concepts in the Middle East, which allowed him and the design team to push the boundaries and further explore the possibilities of stadium aesthetics. He also gained valuable experience working on unique projects such as Bristol Arena and leading the design of the successful development submission of a 180 bed hotel and extreme sports precinct containing the tallest indoor climbing wall in the world as part of the wider vision to create a revolutionary sports, leisure and entertainment destination at the new Tottenham Hotspur stadium.More recently on the new 61,000 seat Tottenham stadium project, he was involved on the design, delivery and construction co-ordination of the complex seating bowl and world first retractable pitch providing preferred surfaces and perfect sightlines for both football and american football (NFL) within the same stadium. This work on the stadium has been a particularly exciting and valuable experience, as Nick was able to see the development progress to a construction phase in what will be the first step towards delivering a new major landmark for the local community and one of the finest and most advanced sporting stadiums in the world.Nick has recently relocated back to Australia and is working between the Brisbane and Sydney offices on the design of the new 30,000 seat Western Sydney Stadium.
