Build an n-tier model-based application generator (MDA), to separate the backend form the entity-framework (in 4 layers), and also isolating the programmer from the entity-framework and the front-end system. This application generator uses a database model stored in an SQL database, LINQ and the DevExpress XPO entity-framework. The frontend is handled using DevExpress AEX but can be generate for any other configurable user-interface-wrapper.Build a partial N! solution for the ships building industry. This solution calculates cable system paths for ships. Previous implementations for this problem only worked for up to a few thousand connection points, while using four (and more) hours to produce one solution. The algorithm that I created solves many ten-thousands of connection points (we have been using this implementation on installations of more than 50 thousand connection points) while keeping the runtime below one hour.
