I work as an Amazon Fulfillment Associate. I was trained to operate a PIT (Powered Industrial Truck) or order picker. It’s essentially an elevated forklift. It goes up to about 40ft. I am part of the Outbound team that works to collect packages and ship them to the customers. Specially my role is to pick them off the shelf in the order picker put them in my cage and drop them off. I am also involved with the Associate Safety Committee (ASC). Our role is to analyze warehouse operations to keep associates safe on the job. We use data metrics and changes within operations to accomplish our goals.

As a Doordash delivery driver I use my own car and access my work straight from my phone using the Dasher app. I interact with the customer as I pick up there order as well as the business providing the customers order. If I pick up multiple orders I need to properly manage them for drop off. I also use navigation on my phone to drive to the business and to deliver to the order to the destination. If any customers has complaints or a mistake was made they can contact doordash support or I will resolve the issue for them myself.

I started working at this job during high school part time. It is a nearby animal vet hospital. I worked part time as a kennel Technician. I have to be trained to follow proper dietary guidelines when giving food and water to the boarded animals. I also bathed and dried the boarded animals on there departure day. All boarded animals were walked twice a day. I would walk them around the work place outside. Laundry duties such as washing towels and blankets and drying were necessary. Each boarded animal would receive a blanket and a towel for comfort. Other duties like sweeping and mopping the entire practice at the end of every work day was required as well. Lastly, If any vet tech or doctor needed assistance with any tasks up front I would assist them.
