About Fletcher Stewart
I am a Senior Associate in Allens' national Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) team. I have advised on cross – border offshoring and BPO transactions, telecommunications infrastructure and network (fibre and mobile) rollouts and divestments, system implementation agreements, transitional services agreements, media broadcast agreements, and privacy, data and cyber-security issues. I also have extensive experience advising in relation to procurement and regulation of payment hardware, software and other relevant infrastructure; merchant acquiring agreements, card acceptance agreements and payment scheme membership applications; anti-money laundering legislation and other regulatory issues. This experience has led to advising banks and superannuation funds on relevant APRA prudential standards (namely 231, 232 and 234, and now 230), as well as SOCI Act requirements. During my time at Allens, I have been fortunate to have been seconded to Coles and Sunsuper (now ART) during key transactions, which led to further on-going placements within those businesses. These secondments have enabled me to develop a deep understanding of what clients want, need and expect from outside counsel. About me:I graduated from Deakin University with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Health Sciences. I majored in International Relations, History, Exercise Science and Nutrition.My undergraduate background predominantly focused on the Asian region, which I continued to focus on during my legal studies.I am a keen sportsman, I once pursued cricket and am lucky enough to have traveled and lived overseas through my sport. I have toured India twice, once with the Australian Indigenous Cricket Team and the other on a Cricket Australia scholarship.My sport took me to Canberra in 2011 where I completed my Juris Doctor at the Australian National University in 2015.You can now find me in my spare time competing in fitness competitions and continuing to push myself.
