Animal Aid was established in 1977 and has been responsible for significant progress across a range of issues affecting animals in the UK, including farmed animals, animals in experiments and entertainments, and wild-living animals. In addition to political lobbying and public engagement, Animal Aid also works closely with schools, providing a country-wide school speaker service and hosting an annual student science conference. Main responsibilities include: Establish and implement a multi-year communications strategy; brand and campaign development; content creation; growth of audience segmentation frameworks, impact analysis, PR and team leadership.Key successes:- Developed concept and branding for award-winning campaign to replace 'lethal dose' animal tests. This campaign won the Lush Prize for Public Engagement in 2024.- Provided an interview to a global vegan restaurant chain, Loving Hut, which led to a £10,000 philanthropic donation.- Spoke at the Viva demonstration outside Parliament for CO28.- Hosted the panel of speakers and coordinated the media output of the Future of Science student conference, now in its third year.- Provided marketing and media support for Animal Aid's horse meat exposé, launched by a BBC Panorama documentary, 'The Dark Side of Horse Racing', which reached millions. - Provided branding and operations support for 'A Good Life' campaign, a multi-faceted campaign which included billboards at Kings Cross Station in London and Manchester Piccadilly, along with a digital takeover on the escalator.- Secured public support and co-created content with high profile supporters.

ReSpace Projects is an award-winning not-for-profit organisation, which helps communities to solve local issues by giving them free and legal access to surplus space, materials and equipment. Established in 2015 as a voluntary initiative, ReSpace has since secured and/ or managed ten inspiring community projects across the country, saving local people millions of pounds in the cost of hiring space and accessing resources. Community Energy London is a not-for-profit regional support network, promoting the local energy transition to a system that is clean, green, fair & decentralised.I was responsible for coordinating the daily running of this regional membership organisation; in practice this included being the first point of contact, organising meetings and events on behalf of the organisation, identifying opportunities for collaboration, liaising with councils, assembly members, the GLA and member groups.In this role I updated the website, wrote newsletters, visited members, documented progress, maintained social media, documented good practice, identified possible partnerships, administrated company governance and responded to government consultations on behalf of members.

GetMoreLocal was a start-up company supporting local independent businesses in Angel, Islington. My role was to help develop the company branding, generate content and copy for our website and media, write press releases and find opportunities for collaboration with local businesses. I helped to organise a community festival and other activities to encourage community engagement such as workshops and networking events.

Nottingham Conservatives were beginning the campaign to get Anna Soubry elected as MP for the constituency of Broxtowe. I answered public enquiries, organised meetings, dealt with correspondence, attended press events - and a lot of dinners... I am compelled to add that I support the Green Party, the only political party which gives the UK any chance of reaching our (insufficient) climate targets.
