A professional writer and amateur 'rhetorician,' after 20+ years as an on-staff reporter and editor since the start of 2000 I have been a self-employed freelance content writer. Writing is therefore my primary way of making a living, split into 80% commercial PR/B2B hi-tech writing, 10% editorial, 10% training and teaching; all in all, I've been writing about computers since 1989. As a keyboardist for hire, I have produced a large amount of editorial content for a wide range of trade titles, mainly in enterprise IT but also other areas, like healthcare and HR. I also copywrite for a wide range of B2B PR firms and occasionally direct for vendors about issues from AI to banking technology to the cloud via EU legislation. A big believer in lifelong-learner, I have 3 Masters degrees in areas relevant to my career (Philosophy, Rhetoric, Creative Writing) complementing my first degree (Philosophy, though I started out as a Philosophy with Literature undergraduate).
