On the micro level I wish to support my community through holding emotional space, coaching, & sharing resources & knowledge.I specifically have experience in 1) encounter groups, as developed by the humanistic psychotherapist Carl Rogers; 2) counseling teens; and 3) supporting the needs of families struggling with elder care responsibilities and Alzheimer's and dementia diagnoses.On the mezzo level I wish to help organize communities to respond to the inadequate and unjust conditions that are holding them back from living healthy, fulfilling, and successful lives.I support movements targeting the advancement of human wellbeing and happiness, working toward the growth of the solidarity economy, and spreading opportunities for self-directed education.On the macro level I wish to help develop and promote local, state, and national policies that are supportive of the goals of these movements.Fundamentally, I'm an intellectually-oriented big-picture thinker who thrives in relational work. My skillset can be flexibly applied to many industries, including, but not limited to, mental health, social work, political advocacy, social enterprise, media, education, & financial planning.
