Spacecraft Electric Propulsion with Iodine Plasmas: numerical and experimental studies. Under direction of Dr Cyril Drag and Dr Ane Aanesland.Laboratoire de Physique des Plasmas - www.lpp.frIodine is being studied, tested and now commercialized as an alternative to xenon for electric propulsion. Of great importance for the thruster performances, the chemistry of iodine plasmas is not well known. My work develops models of iodine plasmas such as the ones used in Gridded Ion Thrusters, and several experimental diagnostics to characterize such plasmas, their evolution with pressure and discharge power, or their interaction with the thruster boundaries.Awarded in July 2020 with "Félicitations" from the international jury.Watch the defense here : https://youtu.be/TPf7RtpameQ

My activities, besides science, included discussions of strategy, internal and external communication, social media management, participation to conferences, pitch (Vivatech 2018), looking for potential employees. I stopped these activites when ThrustMe moved out of the Laboratory for Plasma Physics, and focused on my research activites to complete my PhD.
